MSI Defense 2026 — WordPress Theme Install (Kinsta Staging)

1. Upload & activate

Appearance → Themes → Add New → Upload Theme → choose msi-defense-theme.zip → Install → Activate.

On activation the theme automatically:

Creates the pages: Home, Capabilities, Programs, EAGLS, About, Contact
Sets Home as the static homepage
Turns on pretty permalinks (/programs/, /eagls/, etc.)

Refresh Pages — you should now see all six. Visit the site; the full design renders.

If the pages do NOT appear

That means the theme was activated once before this version. Trigger setup again:
Appearance → Themes → switch to any other theme, then switch back to MSI Defense 2026. The pages will be created.
(Or add them manually: create Pages with the exact slugs home, capabilities, programs, eagls, about, contact.)

2. Logo & menu (optional)

Logo: Appearance → Customize → Site Identity → Logo. If unset, the theme uses the existing hosted MSI logo.
Nav works out of the box (fallback). To control it: Appearance → Menus → assign a menu to the Primary location.
Footer text: Appearance → Customize → Contact & Footer.

How editing works

The six designed pages are rendered by the theme (page-.php) — their look is in the template, not the block editor.
Any NEW page Emily creates uses the generic themed template (banner + block-editor content) and is fully editable in WordPress.
Blog posts (Newsroom) use the themed post layout.

Before public launch
